Filled with the pleasures, oddities and regrets of English rural life between 1917 and 1934, »Cider with Rosie« is based on the autobiographical 1959 novel by poet Laurie Lee. Rosemary Leach stars as the radiantly unrealistic Annie, struggling to raise seven children in a Cotswold village and ignore the manifest evidence that her husband has abandoned the family for good. Peter Chandler gives a beautifully natural performance as her much-loved son Laurie in his awkward adolescence.
